Fifteen Percent

Fifteen percent of the profit from every Aphrodisiac New York order is committed to organizations working on behalf of women and children. It applies to every order, in every season, at full price and on sale.

The Commitment

This is not a campaign and it does not run for a limited period. Fifteen percent of what we earn on an order leaves the business and goes to the organizations we support.

We settled on the figure before we produced a single garment. It is treated as a fixed cost of operating, accounted for alongside fabric, production, and freight. It does not shrink in a slow month and it is not quietly suspended during a sale.

You Are Not Being Asked to Donate

There is no box to check at checkout. No rounding up. No optional donation added to your total. You will not be prompted at any point, and the price you see is the price you pay.

The commitment sits on our side of the transaction. Buying something you actually want is the whole of your part in it. We handle the rest, and we report on it.

Why Women and Children

Women and children carry a disproportionate share of the consequences in almost every crisis, whether that crisis is conflict, displacement, disaster, or the ordinary and unremarkable grind of poverty. They are the last to be resourced and the first to be overlooked when funding tightens.

The organizations doing this work are frequently small, locally run, and staffed by people from the communities they serve. They spend a significant part of their year raising money that should already be there. We would rather that money simply arrive.

Where It Goes

We support registered organizations working in maternal and women's health, shelter and refuge, education for girls, child nutrition, and protection from violence and exploitation.

The list is deliberately mixed. Part of what we give goes to established international organizations with the infrastructure to operate at scale across borders. The rest goes to smaller organizations working in a single city, region, or country, chosen because they do serious work without the visibility that attracts steady funding.

We rotate the organizations we support rather than committing everything to one name indefinitely. Need moves. Our giving moves with it.

What We Publish

Every quarter we publish the total amount donated and the names of the organizations that received it. Not a vague statement about impact. The figure, and the names attached to it.

Our first report will be published at the close of our first full quarter of trading, and every quarter after that. If we ever fall short of fifteen percent, we will say so on this page rather than take the page down.

The Aim

The aim is not a headline number in a launch year. It is duration. A brand that gives consistently for ten years does more than one that gives loudly for a single season and goes quiet when the attention moves elsewhere.

We want this still running, unchanged and unannounced, long after it has stopped being remarkable that it exists.

Fifteen percent. Every order. No exceptions.
